One on one dialogue between teacher and student about a current event topic.

Donna McPeak is the director and lead teacher of Whispering Oaks.
Foreign language instruction is augmented by a specialist.
Whispering Oaks is an alternative to the current forms of education. The curriculum
is directed not only to meet the minimum state requirements, but to go
beyond these requirements and allow children to enrich and expand their
learning experience. The children at times work individually, other times
they work in a cooperative format with their other classmates. There is a
very close bond that develops naturally among all the classmates and
between the teacher.
Parents play an integral part in the educational
process of their children. Daily communication is encouraged with each
and every parent. The children will be encouraged to become involved in
many of the extra-curricular activities offered at the school. Personal
portfolios are created for each student.
