Mission Whispering Oaks School inspires and nurtures the love of learning for school age children. In achieving this mission, the children grow into adults who treasure the value of self improvement from experiencing continuous learning, commitment, and cooperation. Philosophy Every child can learn, but each child has an unique learning style, rate of learning, and ability to retain the learning experience. It is the responsibilty of students, teachers, parents, administrators, and the community to be accountable for the educational process. Whispering Oaks School embraces the whole child, and his/her community in the educational process. We believe that understanding, appreciating, and embracing cultural diversity enriches our community. History Whispering Oaks School grew out of our homeschooling efforts. In 1980 we began homeschooling our 3 children. After a number of months several parents came to us and asked if we would add their children to our homeschool program. Due to the growth of our homeschool, we built a seperate school house on our property, and then named the school, Whispering Oaks. Even with increased numbers, we still continued to provide individualized one-on-one instruction. Within 2 years, Whispering Oaks was enrolling children grades 1-8.
